Alex Early - Lead Pastor/Teaching Pastor
B.A., M.Div., M.A., current Doctoral Candidate at Reformed Theological Seminary. Alex was born and raised in Woodstock, Georgia. He became a Christian his sophomore year in high school. About 90 days after becoming a Christian, Jesus called Alex to preach the gospel. (Alex assumed that he would be a missionary in a foreign country). Alex finished high school (miraculously) and then went on to study at North Greenville University and pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies. It was during this time that he met Jana who would soon become his wife after graduation in 2003. Alex then went on to pursue a Master of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He earned a specialization in Christian Thought Theology through attending Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University. During his time in Oxford, he was offered a place to study there full-time. As he began to pray about this opportunity and moving to the U.K., God led him to the London School of Theology and saw that LST would be a better fit for him as they offered a Master of Arts in Aspects of Biblical Interpretation (hermeneutics is his favorite subject). So, he and Jana sold most of their belongings and moved to London for just over a year to further his education and prepare to plant, lead and shepherd Four Corners Church.

Alex and Jana have one daughter, Tovah Kate born on 11/05/09 and one son, Jude born on 6/7/11. Alex's primary responsibilities regard preaching, teaching, vision casting, training men and living as a local missionary here in Newnan, GA.
Tripp Almon - Executive Pastor
Tripp was born and raised in Newnan, Ga., and became a Christ follower as a child. A former elite gymnast, Tripp received his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia in sports administration. His interests in Christian theology, philosophy, and science began to take up his free time as his faith began to be challenged, especially in a university setting. While at UGA, he met and married fellow gymnast Megan in 2003. The couple moved to Newnan after college, and Tripp continued to work as a full time gymnastics coach. Tripp has always considered himself in ministry as God had sovereignly placed him to use his gifts and passions in a coaching enviornment to "bloom where he was planted." Now, God-given gifts in the areas of discernment, teaching, and organization combined with a passionate pursuit in self-studies as well as opportunity has now become a passionate — and deeply fulfilling — vocation.
Tripp has served Four Corners Church as a community group leader since 2009, became an elder candidate in 2010 and Executive Pastor in April of 2011. Tripp and Megan have one daughter, Neely (born 3/27/06) and one unborn child (due date 5/12/12). They love playing together — especially if it’s outdoors. Tripp is into some extreme sports, especially whitewater kayaking, motorcycles, mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing — he’s even tried his hand at kite boarding. And yes, he can do a back flip. As executive pastor, Tripp wears a lot of hats. His primary roles fall within the realm of the behind-the-scenes, day-to-day running of Four Corners Church and include logistics, oversight of Gospel Communities, and human resources. Tripp also assists in the areas of teaching and preaching.
Gregg Katz - Pastor of Music and Arts
Gregg Katz was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1976. During his life he has lived on both sides of the U.S. and most recently in Seattle, WA where he attended Mars Hill Church and completed the ReTrain Masters of Missional Leadership training. He is blessed in marriage to Gina Katz and has three amazing children, Addisyn, Lillie, and Draven.
Gregg received Christ as a young man, but struggled greatly with his faith and understanding of the Gospel. Around 2004 the pursuit of the Holy Spirit brought Gregg back to the church and renewed the “Call” to full time ministry on his life..
As a musician he loves to play all styles of music and multiple instruments. As a Christian, he strives to serve a living God by bringing Him glory in all things. As a “Worship Leader”, Gregg works to serve the body of Four Corners by not only leading in song, but an understanding of “Gospel Worship”. Knowing who God is and who we are in relationship to Jesus. This is the root of worship.
Megan Almon - Director of Apologetics
Megan Almon oversees ANSWERS, Four Corners' Christian apologetics ministry. ANSWERS is a monthly public forum and presentation that addresses objections to or questions about Christianity's truth claims.
Megan, a former University of Georgia Gymdog, graduated in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She spent three years as a reporter for the local daily newspaper in Newnan, Ga., where she won awards for feature and news writing, and lifestyle and education coverage.
In 2008, Megan left her career in journalism to put her communication skills to use for the Kingdom. She found that she had a strong passion for conveying Christian truth, especially when it came to teaching fellow believers to understand and articulate their Christian views.
She came on board with ANSWERS in the fall of 2009. Through ANSWERS, she hopes to provide a place where the community can come together to discuss Christianity openly and honestly, and where everyone can be challenged (in the best possible way) to analyze and assess the validity of their worldviews.
Megan is currently pursuing a master of arts degree in Christian apologetics from Biola University. In addition to her work with ANSWERS, she is a staff member and speaker with Life Training Institute, an organization that trains Christians and pro-life advocates to persuasively defend their views in the marketplace of ideas by clearly presenting the pro-life position.
Megan and her husband, Tripp, a former gymnast himself, have been married since 2003 and have one daughter who already shares her parents’ love for acrobatics. She remains involved in the sport she loves by coaching alongside Tripp a few hours each week, and is still known to practice handstands in her living room.
Amy Nelson - Director of Children's Ministry
Amy was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended college at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee and received a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education and Elementary Education in 2005. She met and married her husband Michael in just 10 months! In 2010, they welcomed their beautiful daughter Evie in to their family.
Amy has a deep desire for children to know and love Jesus Christ. God has allowed Amy to love children in a ministry setting for 6 years. Previously, she taught kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade at an elementary school in Atlanta. She was able to see God working daily through relationships with faculty members, students, and their families.
Ephesians 5:2 says, “And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” She desires for each child to have a genuine encounter with Jesus and grow to love and know Him more each day.
Kathryn Simon - Pastoral Assitant
Kathryn serves on staff at Four Corners as the Pastoral Assistant, helping the Pastors maximize their time so they can effectively shepherd the church. She brings order to Pastor Alex's busy schedule, answers church phone calls and runs errands.
Kathryn was born in Houston and, due to her parents' jobs, moved several times before settling in Central Texas. Though she attended church occasionally during her childhood and adolescence, she did not truly know and follow Jesus until she was 18. She went to the University of Texas at Austin, where she received a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies in 2006.
Upon graduating, she took her newly discovered passions for Jesus, ministry and missions, and moved to Argentina to work amongst college students. It was there that she met her husband-- fellow missionary, John Simon. Kathryn returned to the United States in late 2008, and in 2009 began a masters degree in Biblical Counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in North Carolina. Eager to put an end to their long-distance relationship, Kathryn put her studies to the side and moved to Newnan to get married to John in September 2010.
Kathryn loves learning about Jesus and the Bible, as well as how to counsel people Biblically. She also loves learning about whole foods and making green household cleaning products from scratch. Kathryn and John both love traveling, learning about new cultures and languages. They thoroughly enjoy living together in a garage apartment in Newnan with their two cats, Patsy and Joon.
Ryan Smith - Intern
Ryan serves as an intern with Four Corners Church. He was raised in Springfield, MO and became a Christian as a child. His family’s zealous love of Jesus and involvement in the church pushed him to the same. His passion to preach the Gospel and plant churches led him to join Four Corners for the summer, to both learn from and serve alongside the church. He graduated from the James River Leadership College this spring and is currently working towards a B.A. in Bible & Theology at Central Bible College.
His primary responsibilities include: sermon preparation assistance, serving with the student Gospel Community, and any other behind-the-scenes work needed.
